STUDIO

BAYER is a design studio whose practice spans the fields of architectural, interior, urban and  product design with group companies;  urbasite™  and Ural Mimarlık (est.1961). With a focus on cultural, public  and  development projects,  BAYER’s  work  addresses   the   sustainable  design  solution.   The main  purpose  of  the studio is; to produce  carbon-friendly solutions from construction to operation within future proofing design principles. The studio  is  based  in Istanbul and founded by Ozan Bayer.  His  portfolio  of  projects currently in progress includes office spaces, innovation centers, multi functional halls, convention centers, stadiums,  hotels, refugee settlements, and cultural centers. 

Bayer, completed his primary and high school education at TED Ankara College Private School  and  graduated  from  Bilkent  University  Faculty  of  Art,  Design  and Architecture with a (BFA) Interior Architecture and Environmental Design  degree  in 2010. After then he enrolled at Cornell  University College  of  Architecture,  Art and Planning Department of Architecture, Professional Master of Architecture. Since 2012, he has  been  actively  working  in  Istanbul  projects such as Boeing, Generel Electric, Bain&Company, McKinsey&Company, Turkcell , Vodafone Park, ITU Teknokent and  Divan Group as design leader.  More  recently,  he  has  focused  on development projects and design solutions focused on climate change. He is also co-founder of URBA | Contemporary Urban Solutions (urbasite™) and design partner at URAL Mimarlık (est.1961).

Future proofing is a broad term that can encompass not only buildings and infrastructure but also communities, cities, countries or the whole planet. It has adopted different meanings within these different contexts, ranging from resilience to climate change to demographic change and resource security.

In relation to buildings, future proofing is an assessment process aimed at maximizing whole-live value in the face of unpredictable, ongoing change.

Ural Architecture was founded in 1961. It was founded by architect İlhami Ural. Ural Architecture has taken its place in the architectural environment of the country since its foundation and continues its design works.

Since its establishment, it has been active in disciplines such as residential, hotel and commercial complexes, educational-cultural buildings, hospitals, administrative buildings, urban planning, interior design and applications.

It is within the limits of our professional services to present project studies in accordance with international design and construction standards, to supervise the implementation process, to conduct project management, consultancy, research, technical specifications and feasibility studies.

Ural Architecture Office has won various prizes, including 23 first prizes in national and international architectural project competitions.

URBA offers contemporary design and technology solutions by producing durable products for urban use. Our main aim is to re-interpret traditional urban needs with contemporary design and technology tools and create solutions for emerging needs. 

URBA; designs modern urban furniture in line with the changing technology and urban needs. Durability and functional design approach in urban scale and usage. The main aim of URBA is to produce people-oriented solutions and urban furniture with the design details produced with modern technology. 

In the design approach, URBA aims to take sustainable solutions and minimize carbon foot print from detail to production, logistics to application.bblending steel structure to maximize strength and raw wood materials. R & D and design integration on emerging and sustainable materials (bioplastic, recycled materials).
